Bell R/T Jet Matt Black

Bell is one of the most famous and revered names in motorcycling, having virtually invented the modern open face helmet. Not long ago, Bell released a new, updated version of the original 500 TX called the Bell Jet RT.

In 1954, Roy Richter founded the helmet division of Bell Auto Parts Inc. In 1957, they introduced the most innovative helmet in motorcycling history, the 500-TX, a design that is now displayed in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 1971, Bell changed the name of the 500 TX to the R-T, a style which carried on well into the eighties.

The new version of the R-T features a multi-composite shell, incorporating technopolymer and carbon fibre strands for extra protection. And a leather-look padded interior that can be removed for cleaning. If you ride any classic bike from the fifties through to the eighties and want an authentic open face helmet, you can do no better than Bell's timeless new R-T.
